Hello. My Name is Nona. I am a 44 year old stay at home mom to 4
adopted blessings I received, all at birth. 2 sons are out on their own
now, and 2 darling daughters at home, Miss Natalie 10 years old and
Miss Olivia 3 Miss Olivia is actually a surrogate baby by Traditional
Surrogacy. Thank you my dear friend and surrogate "Brandy".... But I
had to adopt her just the same.

I have been asked many times how I came about doing this program.
When we adopted Miss Natalie ,She had severe formula allergies and
was projectile vomiting no less than 10 times a day! She had constant
non-stop congestion and gas. She never slept through the night. I felt
powerless to help her.

I did "adoptive nursing" which means that I nursed Natalie at my breast
with the help of a lactation aid called the Lact-aid. This device can be
seen and purchased at
http://www.lact-aid.com She received all her
nutrition through this device that delivered formula to my nipple so she
was able to feed. Though I nursed her I did not produce a drop of milk.
Our bonding was wonderful, but her reactions to the formula was not. It
was like this the entire first year of her life until I got her off of formula. I
vowed then that when we were ready for our next child .. That baby would
not go through what Natalie did.

I had in mind to look for a homemade formula such as goat's milk of sorts.
As I was looking around on the Internet one day, I spoke with another
adoptive nursing mom that was supplementing her son with donor breast
milk. I had never thought of that. I didn't even realize the option was out
there. Lisa explained how it was shipped to her and the process and said
her son Elliot was doing fantastic on it. Well needless to say I was
hooked! So I started looking around for donors so I could " stock up" on
donor milk for our future baby. As I was doing this. I saw where moms and
babes were having the same problems Miss Natalie had. I offered to help
find them a donor. They happily agreed. My name and email address
spread by word of mouth throughout the Internet. I had donors and moms
alike contacting me. This is how the mother to mother milk donation
program was born.

When Miss Olivia was born. I Did adoptive nursing for her as well. But the
difference this time is, I did the Newman/Goldfarb protocol. Lenore is a
personal friend of mine. And I must say one of the dearest friends I have
ever had. One of the protocols were invented for me...the menopause
protocol . I feel honored. Here is the link to
Ask Lenore site and protocols
This time around I am making milk! I still use the Lact-aid but only have to
supplement about 12 ounces or so a day. The rest  I produce for Olivia,
thanks to the protocols. The milk that is supplemented is indeed donor
milk!

I have been running the milk donation program for several  years now.
And I must say it has been such a wonderful and rewarding experience
for me. I suspect I will be doing this for several years to come. As long as
there is a need and a mommy willing to help. I will just be a click away :o)

Here is my beautiful nursling! She is 3 and still nursing 2 to 3 times a day.
Nothing like a little Foo Foo after church before my nap!
On a more grown up note. Olivia the Diva! Until she wants
her Foo Foos!
